Day 33 - Friday 2nd January 2009

Well the wrist brace is back on again (that didn't last long). All was going well and then yesterday afternoon it started to ache again. By the time I did a few things around the house, it was back to square one and wearing the brace again. Oh well, will keep plodding along.

The exercises are going well still. Find them relatively easy on the arthritis, with not too much additional pain. Plan to start walking again next week, which will require me to carry a torch, considering the earlier than usual start.

Finally got around to planting my sprouting seeds yesterday. Although the vegetable garden is nowhere near being finished, the seeds we're well overdue to be planted, so we planted them in buckets until we can work on the garden. At least now there in dirt and can continue their growing the right way.

Bought a few different types of seeds today, thanks to the internet. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Pumpkin, Capsicum, Onion, Carrots, Snowpeas, Zucchini and Strawberries. Also bought a banana tree which apparently re-sprouts a spore and this spore is then the new tree for the next year. Always wondered how bananas grew, now I know. Will be kept busy once the garden is ready and can't wait for my own fresh organic vegetables.

Made some more 'raw' bread yesterday. Delicious! It has apple, sweet potato, almonds and seeds in it and it's dehydrated. It is really nice and nothing like what you'd probably expect.
Also dehydrated some banana and tomatoes. Banana could have been a bit thicker, as they came out pencil thin and the tomatoes came out perfectly for sun-dried tomatoes I am making. Still need to put them in olive oil with some garlic & herbs and they should be great. Will definately be making more of these.
