Eating raw now just seems to be routine and is now a permanent part of my life. I know this is the food I want to eat and generally don't go looking for fatty SAD foods to fulfil me. The other day I had a craving for dates while at work, so when I got home I had a few and that really satisfied me and kept me going until dinner.
Have not been having too many greens of late as I haven't really felt like them. At the moment I seem to be sticking more to fruit, which I always seen to enjoy. I know I should be getting more greens into me, which could be one reason why I feel lethargic, but honestly, I'm not really enjoying them. I use to have a salad for lunch every day, but have only had them twice this week, instead opting for more fruit instead. Whether this is okay for me, I don't really know, but at the moment if feels right.
After my weigh in the other day, I've decided that I would like to get down to around 55kgs now, which is another 3 kgs I need to lose. Once I've lost the weight, the challenge will then be to maintain that weight, which I think will be quite difficult. I've heard that a lot of raw vegans (newbies, like me) generally can have trouble, which is why they say it's important to calculate your calories, so you know how much your eating, otherwise there's a good chance you'll keep losing weight. I still haven't been doing this and just generally eat what I want, when I want. It seems to be working at the moment, but that's obviously because I want to lose weight and am currently losing it. It will probably be a different story when I'm at my goal weight and need to maintain it.
I'm still exercising daily, on the Infinity in the mornings and palates style exercises in the evening. Still too early to notice any change in body tone, but I feel better for doing them and it also warms up the joints, which allows me to move with less pain, which is really important for me seeing I am no longer taking any drugs.
The vegie garden is coming along great now. I'm sure the lettuce is about ready to pick, so that now saves me buying them. Home-grown fresh organic vegies - can't wait!
